Stefano Amato focuses his practice on real estate, corporate, finance and M&A transactions, with more than 25 years of experience. He has been involved and has acted as leading counsel in many strategic transactions in Mexico, some of them for several hundred million dollars, among which, the sales of insurance companies, pension funds and hotel chains. He has acted as main counsel of large shopping centers, industrial establishments, high tech enterprises, foreign banks, entertainment companies, leading international fashion companies, among others. He acts as director in several Mexican companies, some of which are listed in the Mexican Stock Exchange.

Experience

  • Creation and development of one of the largest movie theaters companies in Mexico, acting as leading counsel in structuring and dealing legal aspects and leases involved in more than 60 transactions with value of several million dollars;
  • The structuring of time share and fractional systems of various tourism developments in Mexico.
  • Sale of participation in a leading Mexican afore with a value of over USD$200,000,000.
  • Sale of participation in a leading insurance company and pension fund with a value of USD$850,000,000.
  • Acquisition of a global connectivity services company in a transaction with a value of over USD$350,000,000.
  • Structuring strategic transactions and acting as leading counsel in Mexico of one of the largest tyre manufacturer of the world, including, among others, the structuring and negotiating of credit facilities for hundreds million dollars.
  • Acquisition by U.S. Real Estate Fund of six All-Inclusive Grand Tourism Resorts located at Mexican Caribbean and Mexican Pacific with value of USD $500,000.000.
  • Acquisitions of industrial properties in Mexico, including representation in negotiations related to development, construction and management of the industrial properties.
