Amendment to the Federal Labor Law on Dignified Vacations<\/strong><\/h2>\n
\n

On December 27, 2022 a decree was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation through which articles 76 and 78 of the Federal Labor Law were amended in order to increase the vacation period of employees.<\/p>\n

By virtue of the amendment to the aforementioned law, the vacation period for employees will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

2<\/td>\n14 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

4<\/td>\n18 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5<\/td>\n20 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
10<\/td>\n22 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
15<\/td>\n24 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
20<\/td>\n26 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
25<\/td>\n28 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
30<\/td>\n30 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
35<\/td>\n32 days<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Likewise, and by virtue of the new language of Article 78, the employee’s vacation period may be distributed in the manner and time required by the employee.<\/p>\n

Finally, it is important to take into consideration that mentioned reform (i) will enter into force on January 1, 2023; and (ii) will be applicable to individual or collective employment agreements in force as of the date of its entry into force, provided that they are more favorable to the rights of employees.<\/p>\n
