Progressive lifting of containment measures

Today, the General Health Council approved four agreements for the progressive lifting of containment measures against the health emergency generated by the SARS-CoV2 virus. The relevant agreements are as follows:

a) Construction, mining and manufacturing of transport equipment are added to the list of essential activities;

b) Restrictions are released for school and work activities in non-contagious municipalities that are in the vicinity of non-contagious municipalities;

c) All companies and establishments shall apply mandatory health measures in the work environment, which shall be issued by the Ministry of Health, the Mexican Social Security Institute and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security

d) As of June 1, 2020, the Ministry of Health will define a weekly traffic light for each state. Each color will allow certain economic, educational and social activities with specific levels of intensity.

Federal government officials have stated that tomorrow, in the morning conference of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, more details of the four agreements mentioned above and the practical aspects related to their implementation will be provided.
