Marco Cannizzo focuses his practice on real estate, corporate, foreign investments and M&A transactions, with about 25 years of experience. Moreover, Marco Cannizzo acts as counsel of several Italian pharmaceutical companies doing business in Mexico such as Alfasigma, Recordati Rare Deseases, Kedrion and SIFI. He has been involved and has acted as leading counsel in many strategic transactions in Mexico, some of them for several hundred million dollars, among which, the sales of insurance companies and hotel chains and large retail spaces, acted as main counsel of shopping centers, industrial establishments, entertainment companies, leading international fashion companies, among others. He acts as member of the board or Secretary in several Mexican companies, some of which are listed in the Mexican Stock Exchange, such as Cementos Moctezuma.
Marco Cannizzo is member of various associations, among others, the Real Estate Section of the “International Bar Association” acting as Co-Chair of the Commercial Real Estate Sub Committee. From 2006 to date, elected as Secretary of the “Asociación Italiana De Asistencia, I.A.P.”, a private charitable institution assisting low-income Italian residents in Mexico. From 2006 to 2012 elected President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, a civil association operating under the supervision of the Government of Italy. The Chamber of Commerce counts about 250 members in Mexico with significant business relationships and affairs with Italy and worldwide. Marco Cannizzo is also the founder and first President of the Mexican Rotary Club “Valle de Anahuac”.
