Julio César Silva is Associate with more than 8 years of experience in labor litigation and consultancy, both at an individual and collective level, advising domestic and international companies in these areas.

He has dedicated his career advising companies on labor-related matters and representing them in judicial and administrative processes related to labor issues. His extensive experience comprises a variety of topics, including dismissals, labor disputes, collective bargaining, implementation of labor policies, employment contracts, and managing of labor relations, among others. As a labor advisor, Julio has provided guidance to companies in establishing robust labor practices and ensuring compliance with labor legislation.

In addition to his adviosy experience, Julio has represented his clients in labor litigations, both at the individual and collective levels. He has been involved in cases of wrongful dismissals, violations of labor rights, and conflicts between employers and employees.

Representative Matters

  • Participation in the implementation of a collective bargaining strategy with a labor union that requested the execution of a collective bargaining agreement with a company belonging to Eaton Corporation in Querétaro, Mexico, in order to prevent economic losses arising from illegal work stoppages in productive operations.
  • Participation in the labor restructuring of a company in the auto parts sector headquartered in the United States of America with operations in Mexico, which involved the termination of more than 300 employees and the closure of a manufacturing plant in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
  •  Participation in the implementation of a collective bargaining strategy for the review and renegotiation of the collective bargaining agreement with the union of one of the biggest bottling companies at its plant located in the State of Mexico, in order to prevent a disproportionate increase in labor costs under the collective bargaining agreement, ultimately resulting in an agreed wage increase below the union’s demands and generating savings of millions of pesos for the company.
