His practice includes Tax Planning, Tax Audit, Customs Law, Administrative and Constitutional Law, as well as representing clients in tax disputes, at both, Federal and State levels.
Andrés frequently assists clients in developing responses to requests for information issued by the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT). In some audits, he plays a lead role and helps manage the entire audit.
In the controversy area, Andrés has represented clients at the audit and appellate levels of the SAT and in litigation before the federal courts.
Andrés has litigated cases before the Federal Court for Tax and Administrative Justice, the Administrative-Law Courts, District Courts, Collegiate Circuit Courts and the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice.
A substantial portion of Andrés’s practice involves state and local taxation. He has advised corporations to reduce the impact of state and local taxes.
He has also been asked to consult with congressional staffs with respect to proposed tax legislation.
