Mauricio Moreno has extensive experience in various areas of law, which allows him to provide a complete and high level specialized advice in the areas of Corporate and Business, Real Estate and Tourism, Mergers and Acquisitions, Labor Law, Foreign Investment and Technology, advising domestic and foreign clients in conducting business and investments in Mexico and in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions. His vast experience, deep knowledge of the law and detailed analysis and understanding of his clients’ business, has allowed him to successfully represent domestic and foreign clients in a wide range of industries, including hospitality, industrial, commercial and residential real estate, maquila, infrastructure, government solutions, e-commerce, technology, energy and collective and individual labor structures, also participating in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions, among others. Mauricio Moreno has participated directly in the implementation and development of corporate groups in Mexico, Central America and South America.

Experience

  • Legal, organic, corporate and regulatory structuring, as well as implementation, of macro real estate developments including condominiums and subdivisions, residential, tourist and mix;
  • Structuring and implementation of union schemes and collective labor-management relations for the compliance of labor laws in Mexico including the provisions related to international treaties such as T-Mec, negotiating with unions new schemes and conditions for labor relations;
  • Negotiation with Unions and employees to determine criteria and scope of worker-employer relations in the wind energy sector in Mexico;
  • Acquisitions by Real Estate International Fund of Resorts, marinas, commercial and residential real estate located in different tourism areas in Mexico including Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Riviera Maya, Ixtapa Zihuantanejo, Los Cabos,;
  • Participation in the structure, approach and development of merger and real estate adquisition notifications to the antitrust authority, obtaining the necessary permits and making covenants not to compete in various branches and sectors of the domestic market.
  • Development of one of the most important companies of design and implementation of mobility and technology solutions, in Central and South America, acting as leading counsel in structuring and dealing legal aspects.
  • Creation, coordination and supervision of a network of Central and South American law firms of high level and reliability, with the purpose of providing integral legal services in corporate and labor matters for transnational companies with presence in Mexico and Latin America.
  • Pro Bono: Speaker at a webinar for entrepreneurs realted on labor matters, organized by Estandares Pro Bono.
